ACADEMICS
The NEW Curriculum
The NEW School offers a truly well-rounded and balanced curriculum
A better way forward for families seeking more.
The world-renowned gold standard of academic excellence: the International Baccalaureate (IB).
Today’s education system leaves many parents asking the same question:
Is my child actually being seen, challenged, and supported?
At The NEW School, we’ve intentionally built a different model — one that restores meaning, balance, and excellence to education by combining the IB framework with faith formation, whole-child development, and real-world learning that matters.

IB Education
We are proud to announce we have been accepted for candidacy as an IB School.
At The NEW School, we bring the power of IB and anchor it in something even deeper: truth, character, and purpose. Globally Minded. Future Ready.
Learn more
The NEW School is an IB Candidate School for the Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are pursuing authorization as an IB World School, joining a global community of schools committed to high-quality, challenging, internationally minded education.
IB is globally respected for its rigor, depth, and outcomes — developing students who can think critically, communicate confidently, solve complex problems, and lead with global-mindedness.
IB students learn to:
• think independently
• understand global contexts
• communicate across perspectives
• act with compassion and integrity
• lead in a rapidly changing world
And at The NEW School, they do it with a foundation of faith, truth, and purpose.
Whole-Child Education, Done Exceptionally Well
Our curriculum blends strong academics with outdoor learning, health and wellness, emotional intelligence, and faith formation — because education should engage the mind, body, and spirit.
This is not school designed to produce “good students.”
This is education designed to form
whole humans — grounded, capable, and free.
Small Class Sizes. Unmatched Individual Attention.
With intentionally small class sizes, every child is known personally.
Teachers tailor instruction to each student’s strengths, learning style, and pace — ensuring students are both supported and challenged.
No one gets lost. No one gets overlooked.
Learning That Connects to Real Life
IB learning is powerful because it’s not just about content — it’s about application.
That’s why our students participate in monthly Real-World Experiences — hands-on, purpose-driven learning beyond the classroom that builds confidence, independence, and leadership and relevancy.
This is where learning becomes real. This is where learning is alive.
Entrepreneurship, Life Skills & Purpose-Driven Learning
We don’t just want students to learn — we want them to become capable.
Through monthly workshops, students build real-life skills such as:
- financial literacy
- entrepreneurial thinking & business creation
- innovation, creativity, and problem-solving
- communication, teamwork & leadership
- personal responsibility and initiative
This is how we nurture intrinsic motivation — when children realize learning gives them the power to build, create, and contribute.
Rooted in Faith and Character
Our pedagogy is grounded in the Fruits of the Holy Spirit, guiding students to grow in character, compassion, responsibility, and purpose.
At The NEW School, academic excellence is never separated from spiritual formation.
We are raising young people who are not only intelligent — but wise.
The
Result?
Children who feel confident, capable, and known.
Parents who feel relief, trust, and alignment.
An education that gives students everything they need—and more.

The Social Outreach Program
The Social Outreach Program (SOP) is designed to help our students identify needs within the community and explore ways they can actively contribute to serving. The overarching goal of this program is to engage our youth in making a difference for the betterment of their community, to gain perspective and to ultimately find purposeful acts of service. In this way we can help mould a future generation with a strong moral compass; youth who can lead with heart and who have a real understanding of the world around them.
Research-Backed by Design
At The NEW School, our model is not only intentional — it’s aligned with research on what helps children thrive.
Social-emotional learning
improves academic outcomes. A landmark meta-analysis of 213 school-based SEL programs found students showed improved social/emotional skills and an 11-percentile-point gain in
academic achievement.
Movement strengthens learning and focus. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses show physical activity interventions support cognition and academic performance in children.
Outdoor learning supports wellbeing and development. Reviews of nature-based outdoor learning show benefits for wellbeing and socio-emotional development, with growing evidence for academic outcomes.
IB MYP supports critical thinking. IB research comparing MYP and non-MYP students across countries found meaningful differences in
critical thinking development.
Becoming an IB school
The NEW School has officially been granted candidacy and is on it’s way to becoming an IB certified world school for the Middle years programme.
The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
An IB education provides opportunities to develop both disciplinary and interdisciplinary understandings that meet rigorous standards set by institutions of higher learning around the world. IB programmes offer curriculum frameworks and courses that are broad and balanced, conceptual and connected.
The IB enables students to direct their own learning pathway and develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive and make a lasting difference. It empowers teachers as the architects of learning excellence, working alongside engaged colleagues in a rewarding career supported by a strong global network and it brings schools a strong reputation for successful outcomes that uplift the whole community.

The NEW School is a Christ-centered community guided by biblical truth, parental partnership, and a commitment to forming students with wisdom, discernment, and moral clarity.

- to ask questions.
- to research and evaluate evidence.
- to consider multiple perspectives.
- to communicate respectfully.
- to form conclusions with wisdom and integrity.
We believe children deserve an education rooted in truth and character, and we work closely with families to ensure sensitive topics are handled with care, maturity, and alignment with our values.
